Deep Cove Pizza
65I have, as I am sure many of you have, eaten a lot of pizza over the course of my lifetime but the best pizzas I have ever enjoyed have been at Deep Cove Pizza in North Vancouver. Whether you live in the lower mainland of British Columbia or you are visiting there, the trip to Deep Cove and to Deep Cove Pizza is well worth your time and effort.
Nestled at the foot of Seymour Mountain facing east towards Indian Arm, 'the Cove' as it is affectionately referred to by residents offers breathtaking scenery and beautiful parks. As if Deep Cove does not have enough to offer visitors it has a pizzaria, Deep Cove Pizza that was established in 1972. Whether you are hungry after a day of hiking, kayaking, boating or simply strolling through the park and exploring the cove, the pizza at Deep Cove Pizza will more than satisfy your appetite, it will delight your taste buds.

Although Deep Cove is readily accessible by car and it offers a variety of recreation and activities for such a small village it is also easily accessed by boat. Often we have launched our boat at Rocky Point in Port Moody and made the trip a short way up Indian Arm sometimes for the sole purpose of heading directly to Deep Cove for pizza. At other times we spent the day in Belcarra Park or on the water up and down Indian Arm. Many times we would head out after work or on a weekend, put down our crab traps of Belcarra before heading over to 'the Cove' for pizza.
The menu of course includes the usual pizzas, in name but not taste, including variations on the old standbys, Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Salami, and Cheese. However, it goes further to include such delights as Palate Con Aglio, Gamberetti, Pollo Dolce, Margherita, Palermo and on it goes.
Do not expect to find seating, not because the place is so popular but because there just isn't any seating to speak of. However, the nearby park has picnic tables and benches or you can head the block and a half back down to your boat and be across to Belcarra Park before it has time to get cold.

Sorry ! But I find Hubs like this insensitive and cruel.
Why do you insist in torturing life's unfortunates, like me, who have only a Supermarket plastic imitation Pizza's on hand or at best a Pizza Hut take away ?
He He ! Only joking, love your Hub and just for info I actually make my own with a cheese and sundried tomato bread base then load the top with the best ingredients the local Deli has to offer.
That a Good Movie and Cold Beer what could be better ?
OK A Girl.. a Movie and a Cold Beer !
Beautiful pizza and beautiful scenery, who could ask for more. Yumm! Good looking hub too, raisingme, well done.
Yeah ! Go On Rub it in...!
Of course you realise I will retaliate by describing in full and glorious detail the joys of a Full English breakfast just as soon as Hub Pages comes up with a
'smell' link!
Wow, makes a Somerset UK Pizza look pretty tame! I think I may have to put eating a Deep Cove Pizza on my wish list of things to do before I get too old - it would be quite a trek from here, but sounds like it would be well worth it!
